Leesburg's Callahan to play JUCO hoops, May 1, 2007

The Yellow Jackets basketball star signs with St. Johns River Community College.

LEESBURG -- During his three seasons as a starter at Leesburg High School, Domanique Callahan impressed Colt McDowell, Leesburg's coach, with the passion he has for basketball.

It is that same passion that should well serve Callahan as he takes his next basketball step.
Callahan, 18, a 6-foot-4 guard, has signed a basketball grant with St. Johns River Community College in Palatka.

"He is extremely athletic and very long and rangy," McDowell said.
