Watch live defending Class 4A State champions in the prestegious Kingdom Of The Sun Tournament in Ocala Florida. Leesburg will face Basha (AZ) in a first round game at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday December 27, 2011. Below is a preview of the teams.
LEESBURG: The defending Class 4A state champions earned their second consecutive Lake-Sumter Championship. The Yellow Jackets (7-2), ranked eighth in the latest Orlando Sentinel Super 16 Poll, are back in the Kingdom for the second straight year. Leesburg returns three starters off last year's state title team and has a balanced attack once again. Joe Toolie (6-3 guard/13.2 points), Troy Willis, Jr., (6-4 forward/12.2 points), D'Maury Jones (6-5 wing/13.0 points and 8.6 rebounds) and Undra Mitchem (6-2 wing/11.2 points) are players to watch for the Yellow Jackets.
BASHA (Chandler, Ariz.): The Bears (9-0) are the first team from Arizona to play in the Kingdom and are the top-ranked team overall in the Cactus State. Basha knocked off Arizona's third-ranked team Cesar Chavez 71-69 in overtime to spark its early season run. A trio of junior Division-I prospects lead the Bears in Torren Jones (6-7), Maurice Kirby (6-10) and JaRon Hopkins (6-4).
