GAFFNEY, S.C. – Senior forward Jarrell Douglass (Leesburg, Fla.), an NCAA Division II All-American candidate and multiple preseason award winner, will miss the remainder of the 2011-12 men’s basketball campaign following an injury suffered against King College on November 29.
 
Douglass’ season ends with averages of 21.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists and a shooting percentage of .615. At his current averages, he was on pace for 614 points and 244 rebounds. That point total would have been the most in the program’s NCAA Division II era while the rebound mark would have been second. Last season he delivered the highest totals in points (604) and rebounds (252) since the program transitioned from NAIA. 
 
For his career, the native of Leesburg, Fla. dominated the Limestone record books, finishing with 1,204 points and 433 rebounds in just over two seasons in Gaffney, S.C. His point total ranks ninth all-time in Saints history and is the fourth highest in the Division II era while his rebounds are the fifth most. All but one person in front of him on the scoring list played four full seasons while each on the rebounding ledger played at least three full seasons.
