Previewing the Lake-Sumter boys basketball tournament, December 14, 2011

The tournament is hosted by Leesburg, which won the Class 4A state title last season.

•Where: Leesburg High (1401 Yellow Jacket Way)

•Schedule: Wednesday — Clermont East Ridge vs. Mount Dora, 6. Thursday — Groveland South Lake vs. Bushnell South Sumter, 4:30; Umatilla vs. Wildwood, 6. Friday — East Ridge-Mount Dora loser vs. South Lake-South Sumter loser, 5; East Ridge-Mount Dora winner vs. South Lake-South Sumter winner, 6:30; Umatilla-Wildwood winner vs. Leesburg, 8. Saturday — Fifth-place game, 4; Third-place game, 5:30; championship, 7.

•The Buzz: Leesburg (4-2), the Class 4A state champs last season, earned the right to host this year's tournament by winning last year's title. The Yellow Jackets feature five players scoring in double figures, led by Joe Toolie (13.2 points per game) and D'Mauri Jones (13.0 ppg, 8.6 rebounds per game). East Ridge (4-3) is led by Austin Mills (18.7 ppg) and Logan Timmons (9.9 rpg). Mount Dora (2-5) is paced by Kenny Dupont (20 ppg, 12 rpg). Wildwood (0-4), with five of its top eight players either freshmen or sophomores, looks to get things rolling behind freshman Dionte Pew (11.5 ppg) and senior Cameron Graham (10.3 rpg). South Lake is 0-6.

•Admission: Wednesday, $5; Thursday-Saturday, $7.
