LEESBURG - Freed-Hardeman University needed a defensive-minded point guard who knows how to run a fast-paced offense. When the Lions discovered Leesburg's Lamar Garrison, they knew they had a perfect match.

On Wednesday afternoon, the senior guard signed a grant-in-aid with the NAIA Division I school in Henderson, Tenn., that plays one of the best basketball schedules in the country.
