Conference Carolinas Release
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College redshirt-senior forward Jarrell Douglass (Leesburg, Fla.) has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday, November 15.
Douglass averaged 26.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shot an impressive .613 from the floor. He also shot .706 from the foul line and pulled down 22 rebounds, seven of which were on the offensive glass.
The native of Leesburg, Fla. showed why he is a legitimate candidate for All-American honors as he delivered a pair of dominant performances against two South Atlantic Conference foes. Against a Wingate team that went 19-10 a year ago, Douglass delivered 25 points, 11 rebounds (four offensive) and shot 10-of-18 from the field.
The last of those was the game-winning shot falling away on the left baseline that gave the Saints a thrilling 67-66 victory. That performance moved him into 11th place all-time on Limestone's scoring list with 1,076 career points.
