Marcel Thomas Named 6A Coach Of The Year District 7, February 20, 2012

LEESBURG - Leesburg High School head Boys Basketball Coach Marcel Thomas, was named the Class 6A coach of the year for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association’s District 7. The district covers Lake, Sumter and Citrus counties. Thomas led the Jackets to the their first Boys Basketball State Championship in 34 years last season. The Jackets are 18-9 and will host Gainesville High School in the Class 6A Region 3 Semifinal Tuesday Night at 7 P.M.
