Mr. Basketball, Coach of the Year finalists
The following are the finalists for Florida’s Mr. Basketball and Boys Basketball Coach of the Year. Hillsborough County players and coaches well represented on the final ballots. Plant junior guard Michael Frazier was third in total votes for 6A Player of the Year; Blake senior guard Andre Smith finished second in total votes for 4A Player of the Year while Blake coach Winston Davis was third in votes for 4A Coach of the Year; Tampa Catholic coach Don Dziagwa was third in votes for 3A Coach of the Year and Joe Fenlon was third in votes for 2A Coach of the Year.
The six finalists for the Mr. Basketball Award include:
Austin Rivers, Winter Park, senior, 6A Player-of-the-Year.
