LHS Cagers In Second Practice Week, November 9, 1961

The Leesburg High cagers are in their second week of practice for the 1961-1962 season opener with Mainland High, of Daytona Beach on December 5 at 8 p.m.

Coach Jeff Bramlett has 26 boys working out daily on Venetian Gardens court, until November 8, when they will move practice to the Leesburg Armory.

So far, the Jackets hoopers have five lettermen, but will have more return to the squad when the gridiron season finishes November 17.

Letterman out are Bill Stephenson, Bill Arnold, Buddy Stone, Larry Williams, and Danny Shay. Sophomores out and fighting hard to win a starting place on the Jackets five are Tommy Brown, Joe Walker, Clell Coleman, Richard Swartz, Petre, and Paul Seng.

All home games for the Leesburg Yellow Jackets will be played in the Leesburg Armory with the "B" games getting under way at 6:30 p.m. and the Varsity contests at 8 p.m.
