HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: LEESBURG 43, GAINESVILLE P.K. YONGE 42

LEESBURG 43, GAINESVILLE P.K. YONGE 42: Trae Sherrod's hit the go-ahead free throw with 11.6 seconds remaining, as the Yellow Jackets (11-2) held off the Blue Wave (10-3) in the fifth-place game.
Sherrod got to the line after grabbing an offensive rebound and sank the first of two shots.
From there, the Blue Wave had a pair of chances to win it.

After a held ball with 2.6 and a pair of timeouts, P.K. Yonge got the ball to Devin Wilson in the corner for a 3-pointer, which was short.

Ron Foxx grabbed the offensive rebound close to the basket, but his putback rimmed out as time expired.
Wilson led the way for the Blue Wave with 16 points and had the game-tying 3-point play with 1:12 remaining, but Leesburg was able to milk the clock and did what it needed to do down the stretch.

D'Maury Jones (10 points, nine rebounds) and Undra Mitchem (10 points) paced Leesburg, which jumped to a 7-0 lead and held the Blue Wave to 2-of-19 shooting in the first quarter, but only led 24-19 at halftime.
Foxx finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Wave.
