LEESBURG 53, ST. PETE LAKEWOOD 47: The Yellow Jackets survived a sluggish one-point effort in the first quarter and closed the game on a 6-0 run.
Robert Jones (14 points) had four points during the late run, including the go-ahead score on a dunk with 1:50 left.
Leesburg (10-2), which missed its first 13 shots and didn't score its first point until the 1:27 mark of the opening quarter, took its first lead of the game on a basket by Jones with 2:33 left in the third quarter at 33-31.
D'Maury Jones (12 points) and Juliard Roberts (12 points) also contributed in the win for the Yellow Jackets.
Michael Singleton led the Spartans (5-4) with 12 points and Earnest Clayton finished with 10.
