LEESBURG - Leesburg High Yellow Jackets go to Haines City for a nonconference game tonight.

The Jackets will travel to Sanford Thursday for the Orange Belt Conference tournament.  Mid-Lakes Conference tourney opens the same day at Groveland. OBC games tonight are Apopka at Winter Park; Lakeview at Sanford; Wildwood at DeLand.

Leesburg High School Yellow Jackets traveled to Winter Garden Friday night and downed the Lakeview Red Devils, 54-34.

The Jackets jumped in the lead the first period, 17-6, and were never threatened. Billy Stephenson led the winners with 10 points.

It was the 12th straight loss for Lakeview Red Devils, 54-34.

In the junior varsity game, Leesburg won, 51-41.

LEESBURG - Larry Barnett of Leesburg is one of Middle Georgia College's big guns in basketball this season. Coach Bill Travis told the Daily Commercial today that Barnett has 10 points per game average, 10 rebounds per game, and in center position is the team's top man. Barnett is 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 215 pounds.

LEESBURG - Coach Jeff Bramlett will bring his Leesburg High cage team back into the friendly confines of the local Armory tonight where they will play host to Seabreeze High of Daytona. The Junior Varsity game will start at 6:30 with the varsity game to follow at eight.
